Application FAQ's
HOW WILL I KNOW WHETHER OR NOT I CAN APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP?
The basic criteria for scholarship eligibility is on the first page of the application.
CAN I TURN MY APPLICATION IN LATE?
All applications need to be turned in on time. The deadline date is on the front of the application directions.
WHERE DO I TURN MY APPLICATION IN?
As directed on the application, you may turn it into the Financial Aid Office at either the Kentfield or Indian Valley Campus.
CAN I TURN PART OF IT IN AND DO THE REST LATER?
All parts of the application and the essay and letter of recommendation from an instructor must be complete and turned in together.
CAN I DOWNLOAD THE APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE OR DO I HAVE TO GET ONE FROM THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE?
You may either download the application on the website or get one from the Financial Aid Office on either campus.
DO I HAVE TO TYPE THE APPLICATION AND THE ESSAY?
It is best to type the application or if you download it from the website fill it out on the computer. If that is not possible you may do it by hand, but please use a pen so that it can be easily read.
WHO DO I GET MY LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FROM?
The letter of recommendation must be from an instructor at College of Marin who is familiar with your academic work.
WHAT IF I DON’T MEET THE BASIC CRITERIA ON THE FRONT OF THE APPLICATION?
You must meet the basic criteria on the front of the application in order to be considered for a scholarship. If you are uncertain as to whether or not you do, check with your counselor.
WHEN WILL I KNOW WHETHER OR NOT I WILL GET A SCHOLARSHIP?
You will be notified by mail no later than the first week of May.
