Helen S.R. Applegate

A local artist, Helen SR Applegate, has established this scholarship in memory of Edgar A. Steinau and Neville J. Rich, Sr., and to honor her husband, Fred Applegate, Sr. This award is made to a serious art student who plans to continue education at an upper division school.

Edwin Cadogan Memorial

This scholarship was established by friends and family of Edwin Cadogan, a former member of the art faculty at College of Marin. It is for an art student with demonstrated talent.

Louis W. Dessauer Memorial

Louis Dessauer bequeathed funds to provide financial assistance to art students. The recipient is selected by the art faculty on the basis of talent, achievement, and his/her serious dedication to a career in art.

Carol Launer Memorial

In memory of Carol Launer, this scholarship is given to a student demonstrating special talent in watercolor.

Mai S. Reese Memorial

This memorial endowment was established by family and friends in honor of Mai Reese, a prominent artist. It is awarded to a serious art student planning to continue art education at an upper division school.

This endowment established in memory of Richard Signorelli by friends and family, is awarded to an outstanding student who has demonstrated athletic talent and is transferring to a four year school.

Daniel F. Deedy Memorial

This scholarship was established in memory of Daniel F. Deedy and is awarded on the basis of academic achievement and financial need to a second-year business student who plans to transfer to a four-year college or university.

William V. Glascock CPCU/Independent Insurance and Brokers of Marin, Inc.

This scholarship, provided by the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Marin Inc. in honor of William V. Glascock CPCU, is awarded to a graduate of a Marin County high school entering the second year of a business program at College of Marin.

Gerald H. "Jerry" Miller Scholarship

Provided by the Independent Insurance Agents of Marin County, this scholarship is awarded to a graduate of a Marin County high school who is entering or completing the second year of a business program at College of Marin and who plans to transfer to a four-year school.

John W. Mackey Memorial

John Mackey, a past director of the College of Marin Foundation, endowed this scholarship to encourage students to pursue studies in the field of economics. It is awarded to a student transferring to a four-year school.

Jerome B. York Memorial

This scholarship was established for Jerome B. York, a longtime member of the College of Marin faculty and chairman of the Business/Economic department. It is awarded to a student transferring to a four-year school with a major in business or economics and is based on scholastic excellence and financial need.

Bette Reese Memorial

The Bette Reese Memorial Fund was originally established from proceeds from the sale of a poetry book by Bette Reese, Mary Hedin, and Adrian Marcus; We Are Connected, and later endowed by journalism students of Bette's. The award is given for general excellence in the field of written communication.

The Hershon Family

The Hershon Family Scholarship is awarded to a communications student continuing at College of Marin who demonstrates need, seriousness of purpose, and commitment.
